Description

This service addresses issues such as insufficient holding force or excessive residual magnetism in electromagnetic locks (maglocks) by adjusting installation gaps and optimizing supply voltage. Holding force depends on the contact area and gap between the armature plate and the magnet, as well as the coil’s operating voltage. We restore rated holding force through precise bracket adjustment and measurement of power supply parameters.
Upon booking, please specify the door type (glass or wood) and the nature of the holding force issue. On-site, the technician uses a feeler gauge to check for gap uniformity between the armature plate and the magnet, adjusting the bracket to ensure they meet flush and parallel. We then measure the voltage at the lock; if it falls below standard levels, we inspect the power cable gauge and transformer capacity.
After adjustment, we use a pull-force test (spring scale) to verify that the holding force meets nominal specifications. We also ensure the door unlocks immediately upon power-off to prevent delays caused by residual magnetism. Data recorded before and after adjustment is provided to you for future maintenance reference.
