Description
This service provides customized lock installation for doors with curved or irregularly arched profiles (such as arched doors or curved glass doors). Since standard locks cannot fit flush against uneven curved surfaces, we ensure secure installation and proper functionality by fabricating specialized adapter brackets or flexible gaskets.
After placing an order, please provide photos of the door’s curvature and data regarding its radius of curvature. We will pre-fabricate a contour-matching bracket and verify the fit through a simulated installation in our workshop. On-site installation involves cleaning the curved door surface, bonding the bracket to the door using neutral structural adhesive or double-sided mounting tape, and then mounting the lock body onto the bracket.
Post-installation checks focus on the seamless transition between the lock body and the curved door surface, as well as testing the latch mechanism to ensure its movement is unimpeded by the curvature. Bracket edges are rounded to prevent scratches. Upon handover, we explain usage restrictions during the adhesive curing period (e.g., avoiding the application of force for 24 hours).
